COMPRESSOR QUIT WORKING

The compressor on my refrigerator / freezer quit working over the weekend (11/3/2019). This fridge was just under 4 years old (one month off) and only has a one-year warranty. I never thought I would have to replace my fridge so soon after purchasing it.

Final assembly? Let the consumer do it.

Fridge seems to work ok. I had to loosen the doors and realign them using a tool provided with the unit. Shouldn't that be done by the time it's delivered? There was removable protective plastic film on the doors, which is good. It extends under the door handles and a few other places, which is not good. According to Whirlpool customer service, I need to remove the handles to get the remnants of the plastic film off. The procedure is in the owner's manual. Ridiculous.

I was excited to get my new French door refrigerator, I have had it 15 months. I was very pleased, but I have had trouble with the bottom drawer, very difficult to open and close the drawer. I have had chunks of ice fall on the floor, when trying to open the bottom freezer drawer. This evening I looked under the drawer and there is about 2 inches of ice built up. No wonder it is so difficult. Should have stayed with my side by side.
