Return & Restock Policies
Common problems that can be avoided result from ordering the wrong size or wrong fuel product. It is important to carefully measure your space before purchasing. Countertops and/or cabinets are not always cut or set completely straight, so it is important to measure in multiple places to ensure accurate measurements. If purchasing an appliance, determine whether the appliance is fueled by natural gas, propane, or electricity. If electric, be sure to purchase a product with the appropriate voltage rating. After 30 days all sales become final. Once an appliance has been used it cannot be returned.
DEFECTIVE APPLIANCES: Most products sold by DeWaard & Bode come with a 1-year parts/labor service warranty from the manufacturer. DeWaard & Bode is an authorized servicer for most appliance brands we sell. If your product is defective upon arrival, please call our service department at 360-733-5900 so we can set up a service call and address the issue.
DAMAGED PRODUCTS: Upon delivery or pickup, inspect your product for damage or missing parts. You will be asked to sign a delivery receipt that says the appliance is in good condition. Should the product be damaged, notify the delivery department immediately. For packaged products, notify the delivery department of any concealed damage that was not apparent at the time of delivery, within 72 hours of receiving the product. If you fail to alert the delivery department within these timeframes, we cannot take any responsibility for damage or missing parts. Ding and dent, refurbished, or out of box items are sold as-is and do not come with a cosmetic warranty.
IN-STOCK APPLIANCES: Regular in-stock items returned in original unused & unopened box/packaging may be returned within 7 days of original purchase for a full refund less any original delivery or install charges that were incurred upon initial purchase. Unused & unopened regular in-stock items returned after 7 days, but before 30 days are subject to a 15% restocking fee of the original purchase price less any original delivery or install charges that were incurred upon initial purchase.
UNBOXED APPLIANCES: Regular in-stock items returned unboxed or out of original packaging and UNUSED may be returned within 7 days of original purchase with a 10% restocking fee of original price less any original delivery or install charges that were incurred upon initial purchase. Unboxed or out of original packaging and unused items returned after 7 days, but before 30 days are subject to a 15% restocking fee of the original purchase price less any original delivery or install charges that were incurred upon initial purchase.
SPECIAL ORDER APPLIANCES: Special order items in original & unopened box/packaging are returnable at the discretion of the individual manufacturers and will be subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee and shipping charges to return the product to the manufacturer. Special order hoods/ventilation products including duct kits and blowers are not returnable. Unboxed special order items are not returnable.
FURNITURE: Regular in-stock items returned in original unused & unopened box/packaging may be returned within 7 days of original purchase for a full refund less any original delivery charges. Special order furniture pieces are non-cancellable once ordered and are non-returnable.
MATTRESSES: Within 30-120 nights after delivery depending on the manufacturer, if you are not completely satisfied with the comfort of your new mattress you can exchange your original purchase ONCEfor another selection of equal value. Simply sleep on your mattress for 30 nights to ensure that the padding settles properly and your body has the time to adjust to the feel of your new mattress. To facilitate this important step worry-free, DeWaard & Bode offers a one-time exchange within 90 nights of delivery. Stained, damaged, clearance, closeout, “AS IS”, and special-order products are NOT covered. On ALL mattresses, the manufacturer’s law label must remain intact and sewn into its original position to qualify for any exchange. If your first selection is not the right fit, we will exchange it for another set of the same size. There is a $99 processing fee to exchange the mattress. TEMPURPEDIC MATTRESSES HAVE A SEPARATE RESTOCK FEE. SEE SALESPERSON FOR DETAILS. Mattress sets picked as comfort exchange must be of equal or greater value to originally purchased set. If you choose a MORE expensive mattress, you will be charged the difference. If you exchange your mattress for one at a lower cost you will not receive a refund for the price difference. Special order mattress sets in TWIN over $699, TWIN XL, FULL over $699, and CAL KING are non-returnable and do not qualify for a comfort exchange. Exchanges for the size or height of a foundation are not excepted. Your purchase IS covered by a national manufacturer’s limited warranty. Please read the warranty material with your product. Should you have a warranty issue, contact your sales representative from DeWaard & Bode at (360)733-5900. Note: Stains and/or inadequate bed frame or foundation will void your warranty. A mattress pad is strongly suggested. All sales are final for bedding accessories such as mattress protectors, sheets and pillows, and are non-returnable.
