annoying to babysit the cooktop

I,like Melissasippi have a problem with the large burner on my Whirlpool cooktop. Model w5ce3024xb00 series D71508876. purchased from Home Depot about two years ago, and they just blew me off like oh well. My wife and i enjoy cooking for family gatherings and with Thanksgiving coming up i see challenges already. This is an amazing piece as it falls in line with the Whirlpool double oven, fridge and the all around decor of our kitchen,and performed well when new, however lately it has become a nuisance to have to stand there and guard my pasta sauce so as not to stick/burn

We were given the cooktop as a gift and are so pleased with it's performance. It is very easy to keep clean, heats up at a very good rate, and the safety light to let us know the cooktop is still hot is an excellent feature.
