Pulls a bit more amps off the socket than expected

In my 3rd year with this 12000 btu unit. It cools the 300 ft/sq room okay to about 95 degrees outside temperature in a room on the sunny side of the house. Its rated for nominal 12amps but is pulling 14 at the socket. So I cant really run anything else on the same 15A line. But its really loud. Our other 8000 btu 12amp Toshiba portable AC cools better and compressor runs less often pulls 11A with compressor running what gives? Just better efficiency? Both have clean condenser and radiator fins.

I bought this unit in 2018 to cool down my outdoor studio. The space is 11 x 11 and it works pretty well unless Temps get over 90 degrees. I also use a fan to help. I love this unit just wish it cooled a bit larger space. Next unit will be more powerful since I live in the south and we get into the 90s.

Got this in June 2020 really helped to cool down a fairly large room but this year unit started leaking from the bottom. Had the extended warranty but LG is really dragging their heels on getting service or replacement
