LG Appliances 6,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

Have used window units and need the portable type because we couldnt use a window unit in this application because of burglar bars on window. This works perfectly Didnt know how advanced these unit have become. Im impressed. My mother loves it.

I bought the air conditioner on June 17th and it works well as a free standing unit. However I was surprised at some of the features not advertised on the box as the store had no model operating in that section. For instance the unit also provide heat which I havent used yet. The timer feature is another surprise for the fact that you can have the unit turn on or off by setting it it increments in hours only though. I like that the air vent is not stationary. You can set it to send the cool sir straight up or angle it out to about a 45 degrees or have it oscillate automatically. I havent used the dry mode dehumidifier the fan works ok but I noticed that the high mode on the controls only works with the fan and/or the dehumidifier but not the air conditioner. I notice that you have to purchase a small garden hose to drain the unit in the Heat or Dry mode. My unit has dry mode which I havent used yet. The instructions that came with the unit I have points out that there are 2 model types.

just blow regular air not cold at all she lost the receipt so Cust Serv can not do anything And cost a lot to fix it so now i have to threw it
